Dr. Doug graduated from The National College of Chiropractic in 1988. He was such a sports fanatic when he started his practice that his focus became mainly sports injuries, (such as knees, ankles, shoulders, etc). He was fortunate enough to help with several athletes who played professional football and baseball. It was exciting to watch them flourish knowing that he played a role in their success. Dr. Doug is passionate about healing and injury prevention in all athletes, always going beyond the adjustment to get them back in the game. When necessary, that has led to an orthopedic intervention. Dr Doug has developed a great rapport with Dr Timothy Kremchek who is the Cincinnati Reds team doctor.
When he started practice there were no trainers, physical or massage therapists (all important players of healing) and was fortunate enough to be trained in school in all these fields. He applies these disciplines with all his patients still today.
Another big focus of his practice has been pregnant women and pediatrics. Dr Doug has been treating babies for 34 years. He is a long-standing member of the ICPA (International Chiropractic Pediatric Association). Much of his continuing education has revolved around pediatric care. He is certified in the Webster Technique, trained under Dr. Webster himself, which can help with the effects of breech complications.
Dr. Doug recognizes that spirituality plays a large role in the office. Many problems people experience come from anxiety and spiritual weakness. Dr. Doug loves to distribute “Jesus Calling” books to his patients, as well as encourage spiritual guidance, to help them with emotional issues they may be battling. He believes a good doctor truly cares for his patient’s overall health; physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
